Hello!

Hello All!

Welcome to this little hobby of mine, which will hopefully provide both you and I with some much needed laughs and relaxation time. So what's all of this about? Well, as I'm sure many of you have experienced throughout your lifetimes, life is absolutely FULL TO BURSTING with questions. Some we ask others, some we're asked by others, and some, we ask ourselves. I intend to take a look at these questions, one per week, and give some interesting feedback as to what some possible answers might be.

Warning. Some of these questions will be serious, but taken in a humorous direction. As for the first example, let's just begin with our VERY FIRST QUESTION! This is exciting you guys! The first one! Gee, I hope I'm relaxed enough to enjoy it...I hope it's good...let's dive in, shall we? (That's not the first question.)

QUESTION NUMBER ONE: What do you want to do with your life?

A common question to ask children, however, it could be asked to just about anyone. I have encountered this question multiple times within my life, and after having been alive just nineteen years, I think it's a bit of a mind bender. I ask this question to myself on a DAILY basis, and each time (well, mostly each time) I come up with a different answer.

Here's how that conversation typically goes:

Myself: What do I want to do?
My Brain: Hmm...let's see. How about a scuba diver? Shark researcher? Teacher? Scientist? Doctor? Psychiatrist? Game Show Host? Talk Show Host? Politician? Artist? Chef? Baker? Reality TV Contestant? Mom? Nurse? Athlete? Actor? Screenwriter? Author?

Myself: .......

That's basically my every day. Now, as of yet, I HAVE decided on a direction that I would like to go in. But as you all should by now know, that doesn't stop human beings from dreaming of what could be. That's why shows like USA Network's "The Moment" exist! People are always striving for different objectives, whether or not those objectives coincide with their current situation. Don't you agree? The grass is always greener on the other side, as they say.

So here's my answer to the dreaded question: what do YOU WANT to do? I know, I know. It's never a good start to answer a question with another question, but let me explain. Humans have potential, and though I do not know all of you out in Reader-land (which I have decided to dub the places that you all are from) I know that if you follow your dreams, anything can be possible. Even in my own life, I may start out as an applied mathematics major in college, wanting to teach math in a high school, BUT I may end up spending my days scuba diving in the pacific researching schools of hammerhead sharks. That's the thing. Anything can happen.

So when you're asked, by yourself or by others what you want to do with your life, dig deep inside and discover a passion. Try that out. If it turns out that that's not what you really want to do, or you find a new and more fiery passion for a career that is different, hell, try that one on for size. Just remember: If you do something that you love, you'll never work a day in your life.

Alright ya'll. I'd say that I've used my allotted amount of cliches for one post, don't you think? Was it good for you? I hope so, and I hope to continue seeing your beautiful faces...invisibly through my computer screen...but I know you're there.

Always questioning,

Emily.

P.S.- I almost forgot! Sometimes, even though I have TONS of questions I'd like to talk about, I need some more interesting ones. I don't want to bore you all to death, SO if you think of a question that you think would be worthy of such a mediocre answer as the ones I have already provided, OR you'd just like to see what I'd do with something you suggest, leave a comment and I'll consider it!
